MediaTek has unveiled the Dimensity 7300 series chipsets that will power mid-range smartphones and tablets. The new 4nm mobile platform, called Dimensity 7300 and 7300X, will power many models, including foldable devices.
What does MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and 7300X promise?
Dimensity 7300 is positioned as a multimedia-oriented chip with improvements in imaging, artificial intelligence and gaming capabilities. It features MediaTek’s Imagiq 950 image signal chip that supports 200 Megapixel cameras. This chip has new features such as face detection and grain reduction algorithm.
MediaTek says the Dimensity 7300 was developed for gaming. It offers up to 20 percent higher frames per second and improved energy efficiency compared to previous generations. Optimizations for 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and audio also enhance the mobile gaming experience.
Both mobile platforms come with four high-performance Arm Cortex-A78 and four efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.5GHz. The octa-core design chipsets are manufactured on a 4nm process.
The Dimensity 7300X platform targets the foldable phone market with dual display support. It was stated that it will power price / performance oriented devices such as Motorola Razr 2024. The 7300X chipset is expected to bring foldable devices to the mid-range.
With the Dimensity 7300 series, the middle class will meet artificial intelligence. Thanks to the MediaTek APU 655 chip, mixed data types can be processed on mobile devices. This shows that the device will have a much better artificial intelligence performance.
